Chow Chow - Moomba

Hi, my name is Moomba. I am a very handsome 2 yr old purebred male chow who was found as a stray, thin, wet and very scared.

I was taken in by a wonderful couple who adore me but don’t think they can get me to feel safe with them. I am a gentle, loving, very calm and affectionate dog. But every so often, perhaps I get a flashback from my abusive past, I become very distrustful of them and won’t let them near me.

I am never aggressive, even at my most fearful, just very timid. So I need a home that will be patient and understanding as I learn to trust and feel safe. I am great with other dogs and kids but a quieter home would suit me best. In fact another dog in the home with a fenced yard for us to play in together would be great to help me gain more confidence (it isn’t known how I will be with cats).

I desperately want to be loved and am very eager to please. My favorite things are my toys and rawhide bones.
